Traditional Cooking Workshops
Learn orecchiette, troccoli and citrus sweets of the Gargano from local nonne and chefs — then share the meal together.
Fatmylux is a cultural association bringing people together through art, music, food and the living traditions of the Gargano coast — for every generation, every season.
Born in the heart of Rodi Garganico — among citrus groves, the old harbour and the ancient trabucchi fishing machines — Fatmylux was founded to keep the soul of our land alive while opening its doors to new ideas, new artists and new friends.
We are a non-profit association of volunteers, artists, artisans and families who believe that culture is something you live together: around a long table, in a piazza at dusk, in a workshop where a grandmother teaches a child how it has always been done.
Every association begins with a conversation. Ours began around a kitchen table, with a simple question: how do we make sure what we love about this place is never lost?
A group of friends — artists, cooks, musicians and teachers — decide to gather the stories, songs and recipes of Rodi Garganico before they fade away.
A summer evening in the piazza with music, homemade food and dancing. Hundreds come. The association is born.
Our space in Via Gorizia opens its doors: a place for workshops, exhibitions, rehearsals, meetings and long conversations.
A year-round programme for all ages, a growing network of artists and partners, and a community that keeps welcoming new friends.
To celebrate our cultural heritage, encourage creativity, strengthen the bonds of our community and create meaningful experiences that people carry with them for a lifetime.
Safeguarding the dialects, crafts, recipes, songs and festivals that tell the story of the Gargano.
Supporting local and visiting artists with exhibitions, residencies, performances and open studios.
Bringing neighbours, families and visitors together through gatherings that build lasting friendships.
Passing culture on to the next generation through education, play and hands-on experiences.
Weekly courses, workshops and gatherings run by passionate volunteers and local masters.

Crafts, flavours and rituals handed down through generations — and reimagined by the artists of today.
Ancient wooden fishing machines stretching over the water — symbols of ingenuity and of a life lived in rhythm with the Adriatic.
The prized oranges and lemons of Rodi, grown in terraced gardens for centuries and celebrated in our kitchens and feasts.
Hand-painted tiles and terracotta inspired by Apulian patterns and coastal colours.
The heartbeat of every festa: tambourines, guitars and voices that bring the whole village to dance.
Processions, illuminations and shared tables that mark the sacred calendar of the year.
I came to the cooking workshop to learn orecchiette and left with ten new friends. Saturdays have never been the same.
As a young painter, having a place to exhibit and people who believe in your work changes everything.
We moved here from abroad. The conversation café and the festas made us feel at home in a few weeks.

Not at all. Many activities, such as cooking, music, ceramics and walks, are easy to enjoy whatever language you speak, and our volunteers are happy to help in English.

We love hearing from artists, musicians, writers and performers. Send us a short presentation of your work and an idea for your project, and we'll get back to you.
Of course. Many of our activities started as a member's idea. Tell us what you'd like to share and we'll help you make it happen.
